  • Wednesday 12th March 2003: Currently at Ben Gaurdane, border town with Libya. Cross through on Thursday. Had good day today. 450 km of which 60 was jeep track mountain pass and rest was desert - wicked!
  • Sunday 9th March 2003: I'm in Tozeur viq Bizerte and Le Kef. Couldn't get photos of northernmost point as it is an army base. Managed to sneak a GPS waypoint in though, before getting chased away. Tunisia stunning and a land of contrasts. North v green. Currently in the desert south. 2790km
  • Thursday 06 March 2003: According to a phone call from Laura, Geoff left Marseilles for Tunisia on the ferry in a frantic rush on Thursday. He found out the night before leaving Marseilles that although the ferry left port at 3pm, he had to be on board at 11am! To make matters worse, there was a problem with his bike's ignition. However, he got the bike started in the end and boarded in time to head off across the Med to Africa.
